As we’ve previously explored, a cozy hearth is an essential part of any Lake of the Woods cabin. A framed fireplace offers you the same eye-catching centerpiece, but at a fraction of the cost.

Unlike a full masonry fireplace, a framed fireplace is built on a simple wooden frame. Because of their beautiful aesthetic and appealing price tag, framed fireplaces are an extremely popular option.

The simplicity of framed fireplaces can offer a lot of variables. A large, open hearth may show off you roaring fire, but it’s less energy efficient. A smaller mouth is typically more efficient in heating any given room.
