Landscaping is an unsung essential in building your cabin. Although it may not be flashy, focusing on the spaces between your favorite places at the cottage is just as valuable an any expensive additions.
At the Treehouse cabin in the Lake of the Woods region, the cottage was built to embrace the rugged property. However, making your way to the boat dock proved to be a little more dangerous. The path to the water had several steep, slick descents.
With minimal material costs and a lot of hard work however, this hazardous trail was built up into a clean, even, and safe trail. Now the whole property is connected to the water, and offers picturesque views on the way there.
The trail is lit with understated solar lights, showing the cabin goers the way home after a sunset cruise.
