Turning Up Your Cabin’s Off Season

October 27, 2021

In a year where solitude and safety come hand-in-hand, having a lakeside retreat that can be used through the fall and winter is more important than ever.  If you’re looking to build or renovate however, there are plenty of options for making your cabin cold weather ready.

Viewtiful Cliff Cabin

At the Viewtiful Cliff Cabin (above), our clients loved to spend the “off season” ice fishing, snowmobiling, and hot tubbing on the deck. It makes the most of its expansive views and economic footprint to create a cozy, four season space.

Paradise on the Point

Other clients have prepared for the winter months by building a warm, inviting refuge from the elements like at the Paradise on the Point (above) cabin. Another prime example is the Mountain Lodge (below) designed to feel like a cozy hunting cabin.

So whether you’re hiking the shoreline or sitting back with a cup of hot chocolate, it’s never too late to spend a weekend on Lake of the Woods!
